Privacy policy
This policy explains how EasyHouse (easyhouse.rent, “we”) handles personal data when you use the site. Questions and requests: info@easyhouse.rent.
What data we collect
- Account: email address, first and last name, date of birth, and whether you opted out of offers. If you sign in with Google — the name and email Google shares.
- Rental request: your name, phone number or messenger contact, move-in date, term, number of tenants and the listing.
- Owner request (“List your place”): name, phone, city and address of the property.
- Saved places: the listings you added to Wishlists (in your browser, and in your account if you are signed in).
- Analytics, only with your consent: which pages and listings you view, searches and filters, requests and saves, device type (mobile or desktop), language, and where you came from (referring site, utm tags). It is linked to a random session id that lives until you close the tab, not to your name.
- Technical data: IP address and browser details in server logs of our hosting provider, kept for a few days for security.
Why we use it
Legal basis: your consent (account, requests, analytics) and our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.
- To process your request: contact the owner or agency, check the place, arrange a viewing and keep you informed.
- To run your account: sign-in by email code, saved places, request history.
- To work with property owners who offered their place.
- To improve the site, with your consent: understand which pages and listings are useful.
- To protect the site and forms from spam and abuse.
Who processes your data
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with services that run the site, and with the owner or agency of a place you asked about — only what is needed to arrange the viewing.
- Supabase — database and sign-in. Servers in Australia (Sydney).
- Cloudflare — hosting, spam protection of forms (Turnstile), file storage, email forwarding.
- Brevo — sending emails with sign-in codes.
- Telegram — notifications about new requests to our team.
- Photon (komoot) — address suggestions in the owner form: the text you type is sent to find the address.
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.
Transfer to other countries
Our providers store and process data outside your country, including in Australia, the United States and the European Union. By using the site you agree to this transfer; we use providers that protect data under their own security policies.
How long we keep it
- Account and saved places — until you delete the account or ask us to.
- Rental and owner requests — up to 3 years after the last contact.
- Analytics events — up to 2 years.
- Server logs — a few days.
Your rights
You can ask us to show, correct or delete your data, withdraw consent or object to processing — write to info@easyhouse.rent. We reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the data protection authority of your country.
Children
The service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data of people under 18.
Changes
We update this policy when the site changes. The date of the current version is shown below.
